Case 1144 |
Paul was standing at the bus stop waiting for the shuttle. Across the street was some new graffiti. Graffiti was just part of the city. Paul didn't mind true 'Street Art' but the tagger stuff or just writing on the wall was boring. If you are going to do it, do it with some style.
This was art. Although, just words they were drawn with Style, a created font, shadows, highlights the whole bit. It also said something too, not just someone's name or tag. It said:
'The curvature of the earth equals the slope of your mind'
What it meant may only be known to the artist but it looked cool and made you think.
The bus pulled up and Paul got on heading for the depot, another fun filled day at the cube farm. He hated his job. The pay was good but the work sucked.
The bus was at the last stop before the depot and the pretty girl got on. She sat down across the aisle from Paul. He looked sideways at her trying not to be staring obviously. He noticed she was carrying a portfolio. He recognized it too. It was from the bank with it's logo, that's where he had seen her before. She worked at the bank.
When the bus got to the depot they both got up at the same time and he caught her eye. He also let her go first, she smiled and said "Thanks".
When they got off the bus he watched her head toward the down town shuttle. He was thinking she had a nice voice too. Then he shook his head and headed for the transfer to the suburbs.
